Prepare for Work NOW is an online video job search tutoring service where you can view videos and download  workbooks to learn about finding a job in the U.S.

The videos and workbooks  are designed specifically for English as a second language (ESL) job seekers who are looking for their first job or trying to find a better job in the U.S.

The video material was written by Amanda Johnson, an experienced career consultant and job search instructor. Amanda has worked with hundreds of ESL students and clients, teaching job search skills and consulting on the job search process. Garnet Templin-Imel worked with Amanda to create the informative workbooks. Garnet has dedicated her career to working with thousands of ESL students in the college setting. She is the author of The Basic Oxford Picture Dictionary Literacy Program and Life Skills and Test Prep 4. She co-authored the Washington State Core Competencies Curriculum.

You will receive three videos and related workbooks with in-depth information about the skills needed to find a job in the U.S. Each video is approximately 15-20 minutes long. The workbooks provide scripts, job searching tips and techniques, vocabulary, phrases and checklists.

You should read each workbook before watching the video. You will read the scripts, learn tips and techniques, read vocabulary and phrases and review the checklists. You will be able to watch each video in the series a total of ten times. You can repeat the lessons at any time. You can pause the video to learn at your own pace.

This material will help you to learn about finding a job in the U.s. You will learn about the steps you need to take to be successful in finding a job. You will hear and read vocabulary and phrases used in the job search process. You will watch applicants applying for jobs and you will learn from their actions. You will find practical information that you can apply to your job search situation immediately.

To get a password you should purchase the video. The password will be forwarded to your e-mail address. You will be able to use the password to see the videos.

Yes. You may watch the video ten times. You will be able to keep the e-guide and read the e-guide as many times as you would like to. Of course, if you feel that you need more time to view the video, please tell us. We want you to learn and succeed!

After you have purchased the videos, follow the link in the confirmation email you receive. Enter your password and you are ready to watch the videos on your computer. You will need access to the Internet to view the videos.

You can view the video ten times. If you need to view the video more than ten times, please contact us.

Once you have purchased access to a Prepare for Work NOW video, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to the video, a password to the video and a link to the workbooks. Simply click on the link for the workbooks to download.

Yes. You can view the workbooks as .pdf documents and you can print them. You can print selected pages or the whole document.

PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format developed by Adobe as a means of distributing compact, platform-independent documents. A PDF document may contain images and text. Each document is self-contained, packing text, graphics and fonts into a single file.

If you would like to print the workbooks you will need a printer. It can be a black and white printer, or a color printer.  You can also view the workbooks online.

You will need access to the Internet to view the videos. If a video is not playing in your Internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Explorer), check to make sure that you have a current version of your browsing software.
