Especially if you are new to the United States and English is your second, third or even fourth language. Prepare for Work Now is uniquely qualified to help. While others may tell you what to do to get a job in the U.S., we show you how using a step-by-step approach.

Founded by Amanda Johnson, the teacher of the popular Preparing for Work program at a college on the west coast of the United States, Prepare for Work Now has more than a decade of experience working with ESL job seekers — experience that we use to develop our popular video and workbook series.

We know what it’s like to search for work in another country.

Amanda herself was a new arrival to the U.S. 18 years ago. She found work the hard way, through trial and error, as she learned the new culture. With a background and professional training in human resources, Amanda merged her personal and professional experience into a new line of work: developing the Preparing for Work job search class for the region’s large ESL population at a local college. She’s been teaching the class ever since and has helped hundreds of ESL job seekers reach their goals and find employment.

Wanting to help more job seekers, Amanda created Prepare for Work NOW to bring what she’s learned in her classroom to a larger ESL audience. Prepare for Work Now’s job search video lessons and workbooks are like stepping into Amanda’s classroom — from anywhere in the world. Her techniques have helped hundreds of job applicants from around the globe find jobs in the U.S.
